This settee is part of the Royal Palm collection. Discovered in Rangoon, East Java & Barbados - beckoning from the bygone era of the old colonial social clubs. A comfortable chair was essential for the proper club of the tropics, along with worthy conversation, a well-appointed drink tray and a crisp copy of the London Times. These were the cornerstones of British society in the East & West Indies. Hand-woven by skilled artisans of only the finest select rattan, seagrass, abaca & reed with solid mahogany & leather accents . This exquisitely crafted 100-piece collection transports you to a verandah overlooking the tea fields of Ceylon as turbaned men in pressed white uniforms serve gin & tonics on silver trays...
